I am a queer, trans, and neurospicy Somatic Bodyworker and Coach living on Cherokee land in the Appalachian Mountains in a small town called Asheville, North Carolina. I work with folks virtually worldwide, and in-person in Asheville.
I didn’t always call these mountains home and grew up on Hohokam land in the Sonoran Desert. That place, the plants, animals, sky, smells, sand, sun, weather, heat, thorns, flowers, stars, all of it is anchored deep within my bones. I was always surrounded by animals and have always had a deep kinship with creatures and plants and the land.
The way I work is informed by my life experience, my community, nature, and a strong desire for us to all be free. I have spent most of my life in study and practice, and along the way have come to realize that there is more depth in the space that is beyond words and definition than any tool or modality could hold. The experience of somatics is really an art, an instinct, a wisdom that is already alive in you. In session together we weave a relational container and support your system to integrate what is emerging for you. These sessions are a mix of body-led talk focus and experiential somatic exploration. Somatic Bodywork with Biodynamic CranioSacral Therapy is another way to experience the work you are holding, by accessing your own self-healing mechanism and making space for stillness to deepen. Each approach informs the other and has its own potent way of supporting integration.
My practice is centered on queer and trans folks. Many people who find me are also neurodivergent, have chronic illness, or are disabled. I am also a good fit for change-makers who are on a path towards liberation to cultivate a world they want to see. By finding somatic practices that help us embody our liberation we are not only supported to survive but to transcend to a place beyond where we can just BE and THRIVE.
If this has resonated with you feel free to reach out.
