I am a queer, Black, Jamaican-American woman based out of Philadelphia, PA. While I have been passionate about healing and the mind since childhood, my own experiences with racial and relational trauma left me with a burning curiosity about the intersection between the systemic and the psychological. My path toward and approach to psychotherapy have been heavily influenced by this interest. Further, I am deeply invested in Black feminist ideology, mindfulness, lifelong playfulness, and respectful engagement with nature, all of which undoubtedly influence my perspective and approach.
Pulling primarily from relational and psychodynamic frameworks, I believe in the immense healing power of relationship and the invaluable opportunity therapy can provide to observe, experiment with, and heal our relational patterns in real time. I prioritize working with queer folks of color and strive to support my clients in using therapy to invest in a process of reengaging with the full range of human emotions, coming back into relationship with all parts of ourselves, and strengthening our capacities for deep, loving connection with the self and others.
