Meet Eden

Eden Katz, LCSW (NY)

they/them

Hello! I am a white, queer, transgender Licensed Clinical Social Worker working on the traditional and unceded homeland of the Canarsie, Munsee Lenape, and Wappinger people also known as New York City.

As a queer and transgender therapist, I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ young adults and adults, focusing on authenticity, self-discovery, and healing from attachment trauma. My practice is grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, for which I completed Level 1 training through the IFS Institute in 2023. I am committed to ongoing professional development, harm reduction strategies, and fat liberation principles. These commitments inform my therapeutic approach, advocacy work, and personal growth. My practice is rooted in anti-oppressive frameworks, recognizing the impact of systemic oppression on mental health and well-being. I strive to challenge discriminatory practices and promote social justice, equity, and self-determination in my work.

Outside of my private practice, you can find me drinking seltzer playing with my dog, and listening to comedy podcasts that feature queer and trans comedians. I can be reached at therapy@edenkatz.com or at my website.
