I practice primarily from a place of connection. My experience living with chronic illness, and the uncertainty and frequently shifting needs that come with it, is perhaps a part of what has made therapeutic connection come easily to me, leading with curiosity and acceptance.
As a nurse practitioner with a specialty in Adult Psych-Mental Health, I was trained to utilize both the tools of psychotherapy and the prescription pad. Providing evidence based treatment is important to me, as is the acknowledgement of the limits and challenges of psychopharmacological treatment. In my private practice, I split my time between shorter medication management visits, and longer visits where I maintain a panel of psychotherapy patients seen weekly or biweekly.
